My name is Aaron Lisle and I have an opinion on the police department that may offend some people and I apologize for that. I’m aware of certain procedures that they have for hiring. I have smoked pot before, but that doesn’t make me a pot head. I feel like it is rediculous for them to have a 2 year waiting period when some of their police officers participate in various immoral activities. I’m not a crook, pot head, junkie, or anything similar. I’ve had a dream of working in law enforcement since I was 5. All I’ve ever wanted to do is work in law enforcement. I would be the best deputy that I could be. My Father, Keith Hamilton, works as a Deputy at the MCSD jail. I just want to work with him and learn from him, but it takes so long to get on down there and with the state our economy is in right now I can’t find a decent job to hold me over. I tried to enlist in the police academy recently and I couldn’t get funding, because I can’t afford it on my own. Sure, they have “hope” but the kind they have is very limited. I’ve tried everything and I’m about ready to give up on the dream I’ve had for so long. If anybody can help PLEASE write me on myspace. Hey! Welcome back! Was wondering if you were gonna be a One Post Wonder or if you’d keep at it, lol!

I sifted the web for blog directories and found a whole mess of them but… many are not current and many more are dedicated to single topics or a particular area… like AL.com is for Alabama.

I just built my blogroll as I went along, with links to sites I found myself going to regularly.

Hey Chris, was that ye we seen on the Little Muddy yesterday? We were digging into a bucket of KFC (Kreasy Finger Chicken) whilst looking out over that vast expanse of… uh, well… mud and behold, there was a ship! Or maybe it was a boat. Either way, welcome to the new world!

Do be sure to keep a weather eye out for certain strange and hitherto unseen dangers here… like the devil pits of Lee County. There are called ‘pot holes’ by the natives and can leave a wandering explorer (or any other kind of SUV) broken and stranded.

We’ll be looking in on ye regularly for signs of the fever or east bank madness bug.
